My teaching Philosophy and teaching strategies

I subscribe to the constructivist educational philosophy and apply it in the classroom by finding different ways to encourage my students to connect their prior knowledge to new information. Such ways include Problem-based learning and cooperative learning. In my current role, I teach oral speaking lessons to S1-S6 students. To connect to prior knowledge, I design lesson materials aligned with topics covered by the local teachers of those classes.

In my classroom, I prioritize creating a student-centered, engaging learning environment that allows students to interact with the lesson material in a fun way. This involves different strategies, such as using technology in the classroom, employing a variety of games and challenges, and incorporating student-focused classroom management strategies. I always do my best to differentiate my lessons to cater to the various needs of students.

Interests and hobbies

I enjoy travelling and learn more about different places. I also enjoy technology, video games, reading, hiking and delving into history and learning new things
If my students were to describe me with one word, it would be “fun”.

I try my best to bring my cheerful energy into the classroom to engage and connect with students.
